Absolute Radios Frank Skinner aired Oxford Styles debut single “Salo” (June 30th release) on his Saturday morning breakfast show.
Absolute Radios Frank Skinner gave airplay to lo-fi electro pop Crown Estates debut single “Battlesbridge” last year so it was great to have him back onboard for their follow up single “Lazers” (June 30th release).
Oxford Styles debut single “Salo” (out now) not only premiered on Artrocker but also was Digital Fixs “Single Of The Week” and Live 4 Ever “New Tunes Guide Highlight”. Other suppport came from SupaJam, Emerging Indie Bands, Mistree Magazine, Rock Britain (interview), Exploding Head Syndrome, Echoes & Dust and Fresh On The Net.
‘Salo’ is a very solid debut. Nicholson’s lackadaisical vocals combine perfectly with the punchy guitar and bass riffs for a wholly enjoyable track” – Artrocker review
“It’s five minutes of drama, arched vocals and carefully designed guitars, and they’ve wisely gone with a basic video to support it, no dressing up or faffing about” - SupaJam
“Salo” starts out with a sudden and pounding beat, that bleeds into heavy guitar riffs mixed with bold vocals. The pace soon grows, and becomes almost uplifting with a wave of chargeable energy that could be defined as melodic pop” – Mistree Magazine
“This is one solid introduction and one hell of a song from Oxford Style. If they continue to deliver material that’s as buttkicking and catchy as Salo then I think I might have a new favourite artist. Salo is an awesome song” – Exploding Head Syndrome
“It is is just well-crafted alternative pop music. I Love It ” – The Digital Fix – Single Of The Week
Gary Crowley on BBC London 94.9 has championed lo-fi electro duo Crown Estate from the very beginning airing their debut single ” Battlesbridge” no less than 3 times!! After lo-fi lectro duo Crown Estates debut single had huge support from 6 musics Nemone, Tom Robinson, The Freak Zone, Absolute Radios Frank Skinner and Gary Crowley on BBC Introducing London. It was of no suprise that new single “Lazers” (30.6) was aired on 6 music Recommends with Steve Lamacq.

Manchesters electro rock duo High Horses were live in session at the weekend on BBC Introducing Stoke Radio with Rob Adcock. Buntys new single ” We Are Here” not only picked up fans at 6 music but also with Amazing Radio. Ruth Barnes presenter on The Other Woman show has championed Bunty with plenty of airplay and also ran a ” We Are Here” video exclusive.
“We chose “We Are Here” because it felt like a powerful summer tune – a tune for missioning and making stuff happen. We wanted to make fun of the idea of money and power being a main aim in life and turn it into just a video glitch in history, whilst also looking at primal cavemen and women” – Bunty
After a run of 6 music airplay support for Buntys new single “We Are Here” from Tom Robinson, Amy Lame and Lauren Laverene, it was no suprise that Bunty was aired on “6 Music Recommends” with Steve Lamacq.
A Brighton based multi-instrumentalist, composer, solo vocal-loop aficionado and front woman of Dub Act Resonators, Bunty has also collaborated with beatbox champions Dub FX, Shlomo and Beardyman. She has toured her boundlessly creative live AV shows across the UK and Europe supporting acts as highly regarded as Jamie Woon, Scroobius Pip and hip hop legends Arrested Development. She can already count Lauren Laverene at 6 music as a fan and Tom Robinson aired her single ” We Are Here” (29.5) on the BBC Introducing Mixtape show.
