1-2-hear is a music promotions company designed to help you get your music heard in all the right places and raise your profile. All artists are considered for promotion, if you are unsigned or signed to an independent record label or major. Our motto is “1-2-hear is a good as our last artist” and alot of time is spent on artist development from an early stage. Before working in music PR as a national radio plugger I was a radio presenter and producer working at Galaxy Radio ( Global Radio Group), Ministry Of Sound Radio and Metro Radio (Bauer Radio Group) and then naturally moved into music P.R.
Each promotional campaign is bespoke dependent on each individual artist and all promotional activity is geared towards your physical /download release. Each campaign is personalized, passionate and professional with all genres of music being covered from urban, indie, electro, acoustic, rock, pop, alternative singer- songwriter, jazz, soul, blues to folk. So if you want to raise you or your bands music profile it’s about time that you were 1-2-hear!
This promotional activity can include all or a combination of the following services; national, regional/student radio ( around UK tour dates) and online press. In order to carry out a campaign a press release is required that 1-2-hear can provide for you.
On a national radio level I have good working relationships including pluggers meetings and with airplay/sessions/interviews on BBC Radio One, 6 music, XFM, BBC Radio 2, BBC 1Xtra, Absolute radio, Kiss, Capital Xtra and Amazing Radio.
If you have a gig/tour in any UK region, your release will be serviced to regional and student radio stations ( including BBC Introducing shows) in the surrounding area to raise your profile outside of your home-town and create a buzz around each gig.
Online press I will service your release to the online publications/blogs that matter: Drowned In Sound, The Guardian New Band Of The Day, Planet Notion, NME, Clash, Artrocker, Pitchfork, Mahogany, The Quietus, The 405, The Line Of Best Fit etc…..

1-2-hear is a member and mentor for Sound Woman which is a network of over 1000 women working in audio. We are committed to raising the profile of women who work in the radio and audio industry, developing talent, and celebrating achievement. When we asked Sound Women what they needed to progress in the industry, overwhelmingly they asked for mentors. Early last year we selected 30 lucky applicants to be mentees, and found some of the top female talent in British radio and myself to mentor them. Presenters Jane Garvey (Womans Hour BBC Radio 4) , Jo Good (XFM) Martha Kearney ( BBC Radio 4 News Reader) and Fi Glover ( BBC Radio 4 Saturday Live) are all among our mentors.
